    Whitewater killer, flat water phenom

Honestly I really love this board. I picked this up early May 2022 and have paddled ~100 miles of varying water since (July 2022). It preforms wonderfully in whitewater, and picking this up without knowing too much originally was a great idea. Learning how to run class II's and III's on this has been gentle *thick foam padding* and quickly rewarding. I take this out often solo in flatwater on my local river just for exercise and site seeing and it has worked wonderfully for that as well. A lot of folks comment on the banana-like shape of this board, but truthfully it has allowed for more dynamic paddling in calm shallow waters. There are three things that I haven't been entirely satisfied with, none of which has made this board less fun, but are still worth mentioning. - The fins. The fins this board comes with are necessary for paddling in a straight line in calm water. The fins they ship do not come with the ability to be locked in (aside from the center fin) , but they offer fins that do for $25. I bought two rivershreds for me and my girlfriend; we've already lost three fins. I have since upgraded to the smaller, lockable, fins to hopefully save myself from the headache later. - Discoloration. The manual references cleaning your board before and after storage which I do; yet my board is still yellowing in seemingly random places. I don't care, but if you like your products to look perfect forever i would be a little weary. - The paddles. The Rivershred does NOT come with a paddle, yet the Badfish manuals and packaging included with the board insinuates it does - this caused some confusion for me and the outfitter I purchased these through. Beyond that, though. I purchased two for me and my girlfriend; I recommend you do not. The handles have shattered internally with the poles within each and are now being taped together. This board is quality but these paddles were not.

    Badfish SUP

Hi Nate, thanks for your review. If you are having trouble figuring out the click fin side bite fins please let us know how we can help. They can be locked in with the set screws in the fin boxes and the little fin key that comes with your board. There's an explanation in the user manual but feel free to call or email if we can provide more details. As far as your paddles you may be eligible for a warranty can you send us an email with photos and a description of the problem? Thanks. Mike

Best whitewater board on the market

cannot fault the rivershred, Badfish have put so much time into creating and modifying since the MCIT days! great all rounder for creeks and rivers, not a long distance board especially on flatwater but alot of fun! well built and super steady! Mine has gone all around Australia and the world and no issues!

    Rivershred in VA

The Rivershred has been fantastic. Getting a ton of use on the James River in Richmond, mostly by my son, but I took her out for a spin yesterday myself. I was blown away with the unbelievable customer service when we visited the store. Thank you! It really made my day! Y'all are some great people making fantastic equipment. Hope to stop by again some time!

    Sweetly Surfable and Maneuverable

The unique shape of this board makes it so sweetly surfable and maneuverable. Haven't seen a rocker like this anywhere else and it's awesome for ploughing through wave trains and splashy stuff. Tough, incredible quality, and rock solid stable.

    The Next Leveller

As a whitewater enthusiast and instructor I have tried a range of SUP's and the BadFish is my favourite so far. My students see immediate effects from the boards shape aiding them to reach the next level of their goals. For myself the board feels playful and yet responsive. If you are looking for the best board on the market to help you reach your goals of bigger water or nailing those eddy turns don't hesitate, it'll keep you smiling for years to come....
