Excellent board for beginners-expert surfers on all types of waves. I am a beginner and have had the board for 6+ months and surfed the Boise Whitewater wave as well as Kelly's Whitewater park. It is stable and can rip all types of waves. Others have tried it and loved it. Had a random issue with the original board I purchased forming a bubble on the deck of the board and the folks at Badfish helped me out right away. Excellent customer service. I would recommend this board and this company to anyone looking to get super pitted on all river waves in all locations.

I learned to river surf on an iSk8, switched to a Hydrus Montrose XL, and have moved to the Bomb Drop this summer. It's a super fun board, easy to pop-up on most waves once you dial-in your technique. I've surfed a few other boards since, soft-top and traditional boards, when I get back on the Bomb Drop I am always really impressed with how well it handles and how much fun it is. For reference, I am 6' & 170lbs surfing around Colorado. My wife loves it too! I'd be super keen to get a hardboard or alternative construction with similar dimensions that has a bit more stiffness.

My son was getting good at standing on his boogie board (Badfish River Rat), so we picked up a Bomb Drop to get him to the next level. He is having a blast, and starting to own the wave. A great stand up surfer for the kids!

For experienced river surfers, its super fun! For beginners, good for boogie boarding.

I can’t believe such a tiny board floats in fresh water, but my river surfer is doing Mike Valley’s skateboard move with it as I type, he loves his Bombdrop. I love Bad Fish’s customer service, they could not have been more helpful!
