- Colorado River
The Selfie 14 is a nice compliment to my Rivershred (which is a great board too!) The Selfie 14 has the glide, storage capacity, and stability I was looking for to paddle my nearby lake and also to paddle through the canyons of Big Bend NP. It is more like paddling a sea kayak than the shorter SUPs that lack glide. The Selfie 14 still fits in my Subaru Forester for a short trip to the lake, with the hatch open obviously! It's by far the fastest way for me to get onto the lake, compared to other types of boats or kayaks.
After demoing this board I had to have it! So fast, tracks beautifully, and is super stable, I also own the Badfisher and love it just as much, but when I wanna hit some serious Miles out in the water and I only have a little time to do it, the Selfie 14 is my go to board. All the room for gear is fantastic, as well as room for my pup! Life is short, buy a badfish!
Love this board! My wife may be a little jealous… stable, tracks well and glides through the water. I was a little cautious about the extra length, but the extra weight is negligible. Can’t wait for my next big adventure!
Wanting to do some long distance paddle board adventures. In 2018 I solo paddled the entire buffalo River in a kayak. In 2022 I plan to do it on a paddle board. So far far the paddle board has been pretty great! This is only my second board to ever own. First one was the hydrous joyride xl. Comparing the two the joyride was a lot more stable but also a lot slower and doesn't handle the wind as well the selfie 14.
We love this SUP. Had a few great trips on the Colorado River so far, and many days on the local reservoir. Tons of room for dogs, gear, or extra friends. All the straps, tie-downs and little extras work great.
