The RS 140 has been a big game changer for me... I have been river surfing our local spots here in Dayton Ohio for a few years on the inflatable IRS. I’m heavy at 230 lbs and the RS140 has great volume for me, I am able to catch waves and carve turns even at poor river levels. I love this thing!
This is my absolute favorite SUP surfer. I love how stable it is, but it will carve and spin like a much looser board. I have several older model River Surfers, and this one is a whole new ballgame. I surf this board everywhere I can; BV, Salida, Montrose, Glenwood. It is pretty delicate, but if I am worried about dings on rocks at low water, I take out an inflatable instead.
This is the board that is responsible for my love of river surfing. With the updated shape in 2018, it surfs even better. This will always remain one of the most reliable and iconic paddleboards for river surfing.
The Badfish River Surfer is definitely my favorite board! I love surfing river waves and nothing does it better then the river surfer. The river Surfer provides stability and speed along with a whole lot of maneuverability. This board slays all waves from little pockets to glassy dreamy beasts! If you are looking for a board for river surfing nothing beats the River Surfer! And if you are looking for smaller River Surfer check out the River Surfer 104.
