Located one block from the Arkansas River in Salida, Colorado. The Badfish Surf Shop offers everything you need for the mountain surf lifestyle.
This is our flagship store for the Badfish brand offering surfboards, paddle boards, rafts, river tubes, and other accessories to help you enjoy your time on the water. We are also proud to carry O’Neill, RVCA, Rip-Curl, and Astral.
The interior of our store displays the history of river surfing, and our staff is available to help with all your needs. You can demo a surfboard and walk down to Scout Wave or rent a paddleboard to explore our local lakes or river. Next time you’re in Salida, come by and check out the highest elevation surf shop in America.
ABOUT SCOUT WAVE
Re-designed in 2023, the Scout Wave is one block from the Badfish Surf Shop and considered to be the highest performance river surfing wave in the country. The 32-foot-wide glassy wave can facilitate a beginner all the way to the most advanced surfers. Linking simple slow turns back and forth or chucking buckets of spray all over your friends—when Scout Wave is in, it doesn't disappoint. The wave performs at a wide range of river levels from 400 to 3000 CFS.
