FIBArk is that nation's oldest whitewater festival continuously running (since 1949) on the world class whitewater of the Arkansas River. The event is hosted in Salida's downtown historic business district and includes live music, carnival and food vendors on the streets of this one of a kind Colorado Mountain Town. https://youtu.be/dPCVgszMI_8 One week after the GoPro Mountain Games in Vail, Colorado, FIBArk is must attend event for any stand up paddler wishing to experience whitewater paddling and river surfing in one of the greatest whitewater towns in the Country. This year's Colorado SUP Championships will be hosted over three days and include a river surfing contest, head to head SUP Cross racing and a 10 mile downriver race through class II/III whitewater with cash prizes for the top three overall in the women's and men's classes. June is prime time in Colorado and the Colorado SUP Championships is the perfect finale for anyone ready to experience the high point of the Colorado paddling season...run off.
