- bow rocker
I had a discount with another SUP maker that distracted me from buying a Badfish board sooner. That was a mistake. I've waited to write this until I had at least ten rides on my Rivershred. I'm now convinced that the right board, made by a company that is focused on SUP, can make you a better paddler. It's not just the board itself, It's the community and service that this company has provided. Everything they do shows their commitment to this sport. And you will see it too, whether you are a casual paddler or a guide.
Big Bad Badfish Rivershred
As an intermediate to advanced whitewater paddler, I’ve tried and owned a number of other down river and all around inflatable SUP’s. Nothing comes close to the quality and performance of this rig. It punches through holes and waves like Tyson in his prime- slips across eddy lines like Seal Team 6 into Osama’s bedroom- and when full of skegs tracks like an old trusty bloodhound whose quarry is only a matter of time. After dealing with the faults of other boards and making them work despite them- I truly feel like I progressed a couple skill levels just by stepping on- and now those other boards are like flawed past relationships that never went anywhere because they just couldn’t. I could go on and on but I think you can tell where my affections lay- and it all just feels so right
Great product! This is my first whitewater SUP. I have been a kayaker for years and have wanted to give this sport a try. I have paddled a few times on SUPs in flat water, but I was looking for a board to take on between Class II to III water. (Maybe IV ??) I have been out 4 times now and I’m still adjusting from the kayak, but I instantly noticed the quick maneuverability and stable platform in variable conditions. I am very pleased with the detail put into the design and manufacturing. Only downside is the air gauge on the pump quit registering. I have been adjusting the pressure by feel. Other than that, it’s my new favorite toy. Thank you for reawakening the white water rush BadFish!!
This board is MAGIC. As a designer of whitewater SUP's in the past this board represents the next evolution in whitewater SUP. The board is a great width for stability is hard whitewater and long enough so it can carry speed through rapids and surf. The magic of this board is in the rocker profile. Rocker throughout the board, including in the tail allows for ultimate maneuverability for catching eddies and ferrying in the river. Can't says enough great things about this board!!
Best Whitewater river running board on the market!
Whether I'm running a mellow river or big whitewater, the Rivershred is always my go-to board. Super stable width and plenty of nose rocker to run big rapids and punch through and over holes. The PBR side rails make it so much stiffer than any other inflatable in my opinion. Super agile and rocker lets you surf those rouge waves all day!
